Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! Here at Tucson Wildlife Center, we are thankful for our dedicated staff and volunteers who care for our patients and sanctuary animals, and for the generosity and support of our caring community, enabling us to provide quality healthcare to wild animals in need 365 days a year.
Just as you might be preparing your Thanksgiving meal today, our wildlife care team will be catering to all the different birds, mammals, and reptiles at the Center now. While turkey, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce aren’t on the Center’s menu, our team will make dozens of species-specific meals, taking in consideration each animal’s needs, as well as their likes and dislikes.
This striped skunk arrived at TWC with its foot caught in a T-rex snap trap. Luckily for him, he suffered only bruising and swelling, and is on his way to recovery. His favorite meal consists of chopped squash, apples, and corn with a side of yogurt and dog food.
