Tucson Wildlife Center wants to give a “Thank You” shout-out to Rural Metro. On 8/23/23 there was a brush fire in the Saguaro National Park, across the street from TWC. Rural Metro, Station 72, Alan DeKalb, paramedic and engineer, and Station 71 Chief Mike Kehne were quick to respond. Although it took a few hours due to high winds, the fire was successfully put out. Last Summer, TWC spent a lot of time and money on fire mitigation to protect against wildfires. Thank you, Rural Metro, for your quick response!
